Salem, Mass. -- The 2014 women's cross country team is looking to move up in the MASCAC standings this season.The 2013 team moved up four places to finish in the middle of the standings, and this season the women are looking to improve even more. Though the team graduated five significant runners, captains senior, Kaitlyn Hersey and junior, Kat Comeau will rally the team. Hersey and junior, Desiree Raymond along with last years top freshman runner Nikki Vergakas will be working together as strong front runners. Juniors Comeau, Katie Ciras, Sophomore Claire Nagelschmidt and junior Grace Frigo are returnees who will form a tough middle pack. Some new impact players it will be exciting to see are Caroline Longoria, Lori Tucker, Joviana Morin, Amanda Mark and Christina DiScipio.
