Fitchburg, Mass. -- The Salem State women took second place at the Jim Sheehan Invitational hosted by Fitchburg State on Saturday morning. The Viking women were led by an early fast pace from SSU freshman Joviana Morin(11), 25:16 and third-year runner Katie Ciras (12), 25:28. They were immediately followed by teammates sophomore, Nikki Vergakes(13) 25:33, freshman Cristina DiScipio(14) 26:10, first year runner junior Caroline Longoria(15), 26:56 and senior captain Kaitlyn Hersey(16), 27:04.
