Women's Cross Country NCAA Regional Results

Williamstown, Mass. -- The Salem State women's cross country team competed at the NCAA Division III New England Regiaonal on Saturday afternoon. The brilliant sun had melted most of the snow on the trails when it came time for the womens race to go off at 12:30 at Mt Greylock in Williamstown,Mass. Freshman Joviana Morin once again crossed the line first for the Vikings placing # 79 of 387 racers with a time of 27:13. Junior Desiree Raymond ran a terrific race with a strong finish to place #308 at 28:04, closely followed by freshman Cristina DiScippio at #329 with 28:26, junior captain Kaitlyn Hersey #339 at 28:58 and Nikki Vergakis #343 at 29:08. The women's team placed 51st of 57 teams in the New England Region.
